PRODUCTION CLERK - NIGHTS - AUSTIN PLANT

This position reports to Cody Klein, Sr. Operations Manager-Nights-Austin Plant.

The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with a variable start time. The typical shift will be 3:30 p.m.- 12:00 a.m. The schedule will be discussed further during the interview. Some overtime is probable, and some weekend work is required. Flex time is not available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The person in this position:

  • Enters production data into the OMT system for 2nd shift production departments including Dry Sausage, Marinated Meats, Smoked Meats, Bacon, and SPAM.

  • Takes inventories of materials in the various coolers and freezers as needed in order to reconcile / verify QAD and AS400 inventory.

  • Assists Team Leaders with the verifying of yields in the AS400 system. The incumbent will assist Supervision in calculating and verifying that the daily production yields closely approximate standard production yields or yield expectancies.

  • Assists Team Leaders in conducting direct observations. Reviews paperwork for tool accountability, label verifications, and other Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) documents.

  • Writes work orders using EAM.

  • Provides relief coverage as needed for the Ham Boning Scale Clerk and the Fabrication Scale Clerk.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Ops Manager/Production Mangers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency with a PC, Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word.

  • Ability to learn other computer applications, such as SFDC and EAM.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately work with numbers and attention to detail required.

  • Must be able to work on your feet and tolerate working in a 40° environment.

Preferred

Experience with AS400, Shop Floor Data Collection System (SFDC), and EAM systems.
