Job/Position DescriptionReception/Operator:Are you a skilled communicator with a knack for turning challenging situations into positive outcomes? Health and Human Services (HHS) is looking for a proactive individual to fill the role of Reception Services Associate. In this critical position, you'll be the first point of contact for our fellow Texans in need, addressing inquiries and providing support, even in the face of adversity.This position offers the potential for a hybrid telework schedule.Essential Job FunctionsKey Responsibilities:Field incoming calls: As part of a team of operators managing the HHS inbound call centers, you will expertly connect callers with the appropriate program area, staff member, or other HHS agency. Whether it's providing information or assistance, you'll be the voice of reassurance and guidance.Guiding Visitors: Direct employees and visitors to various HHS buildings, offices, or government agencies with confidence and clarity, ensuring seamless navigation through our complex system.Maintaining Data Accuracy: Keep our agencyand#146;s program contact database up-to-date and accurate by promptly entering changes to directory information, always ensuring efficient communication channels.Flexibility: Stay cool under pressure. Your ability to remain calm and follow protocol will be vital to ensuring a positive outcome in a crisis. Provide backup assistance to other inbound call center locations within the unit as needed, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to assist during times of heightened demand.Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsN/AKnowledge Skills Abilitiesand#149; Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.and#149; Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software.and#149; Ability to implement administrative procedures.and#149; Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.and#149; Ability to communicate with clients and customers.and#149; Ability to gather information and/or explain procedures.and#149; Ability to routinely record information such as draft correspondence, reports, and documents.and#149; Ability to maintain records, files, and reports.and#149; Ability to respond to staff inquiries and resolve customer service issues.
