The Role

The Group Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. This position will be complex between both hotels. The Group Sales Manager is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

· Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business.

· Preparing and presenting effective proposals

· Maintaining well organized documentation and reports

· Utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate.

· Participate in sales meetings, banquet & event meetings, and other staff meetings.

· Works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and is in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

· Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business.

Both hotels are anchored on the ground floor by our cantina-themed restaurant, Arriba Abajo, a 13,000 sq ft. indoor and outdoor oasis as well as The Diner Bar The Grey Market, a street-side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents, and guests alike and helmed by award-winning Chef Mashama Bailey. This mixed-use project will also feature a residential tower – Sienna – and 10,000 square feet of retail space and a 7,000 sq. ft. state of the art fitness center and simulator room, appropriately named the “T” Box.

Qualifications:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred

  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

  • Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training

  • Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
