Event Support: Engage with the customer to discern their needs and then provide the support needed in the appropriate venue.Venue set up and tear down in coordination with other support staff; provide additional or backup equipment if needed.Actively support and rapidly troubleshoot and resolve technical problems under pressure and strict time constraints.Customer billing and invoices.Classroom Support: Actively participate in the daily preparation of classrooms for the school day to include rapid response to hotline calls throughout the day as part of a team of students and staff.Provide Customer support in classrooms and other AV venues for Faculty and other VIPs by rapidly troubleshooting and resolving technical problems under pressure and strict time constraints.Training Customers and other support staff on AV equipment operation, video conferencing tools and best practices.Work toward proactively ensuring that AV technology works flawlessly in every venue in quantifiable ways.Build and maintain Audio Visual (AV) Systems:Construct AV systems from designs, including cabling, controls, displays, and complete integration for flawless operation.Read and interpret AV systems drawings and specifications.Install and maintain control systems.Assists in creating technical standards, processes, and procedures.Performs commissioning and acceptance testing of code. Tests integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed.Demonstrates and trains customers on installed systems.Produces training materials and user guides as needed.Integrate AV systems and controls to provide automated health checks to prevent problems.Additional Duties:Assist with annual inventory. Helps maintain up-to-date inventory records, including the assets deployed in classrooms, laboratories, event spaces, and various other types of facilities, as well as bench stock or hot spares.Develops, deploys, and maintains informational documents both in print and online.Assists with troubleshooting, maintaining, and replacing installed AV equipment. Must be able to climb ladders, run cables, hang projectors, and wall monitors.Seeks out and participates in professional development opportunities. Stays informed of professional best practices and technology advancements.Performs other related duties as assigned.
