Assist Journey Level Technicians with routine maintenance repairs and Preventive Maintenance work to equipment and systems. Performs maintenance duties on mechanical, plumbing, electrical and structural systems, including lubricating components, changing filters, cleaning and flushing coils, cleaning drain pans and drains, replacing belts and pulleys, checking and recording pressure, temperature, and flow readings. Prepares surfaces for painting, paints, cleans equipment and work areas.Provides timely and courteous customer service, keeps supervisors up to date on daily work order status to ensure clear, concise and necessary communication channels are maintained and customer expectations are met.Generates material lists and acquires materials for efficient work. Keeps accurate records of materials used and maintains daily time reports to efficiently complete work and document details of the functions performed. Assists with organizing and cleaning tasks.Semi-skilled level repairs, maintenance and inspections on heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Driving a UT vehicle is required for this function and others.Performs duties such as changing faucets and shower heads, installing flush valve repair kits on urinals and commodes.Performs basic electrical tasks such as the replacement of bulbs and ballasts.Perform other related functions as assigned. Work is performed in accordance with normal trade practices and is inspected for conformity to standards, quality and quantity by journey-level employees or supervisor. Drive University vehicles. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4. Attends staff meetings, safety training and meetings. Required to carry University cell phone.
