Duties : Evaluates complex user requests, projects, and clarifies objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs. Improves/sustains embedded system software using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise. Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting of technology for Advisor Service Technology applications specifically with C# .NET. Building Rest Services that support high volume transactions in highly available environments. Building web applications with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular) with design patterns such as Micro services, Micro-UI etc. Building cloud-ready applications with AWS, GCP, Pivotal Cloud Foundry etc. Coaching and mentoring of more junior technical resources. Supporting applications and systems in a production environment and troubleshooting complex systems. Reviewing requirements and translating them into a documented technical design. Participating in all review and governance activities. Working with an Agile team to deliver solutions; and Interacting with individuals from across Schwab in different supporting organizations and business groups. Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $143,000 to $214,700 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Position requires 4 years of related experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core, Design Patterns and object-oriented principles, Dependency Injection, MVC, Asp.Net Core, Entity framework, LINQ, XML, JSON, WCF, Web Services, Web API, REST API, Swagger, Service-oriented and Micro Services architecture, Authorization frameworks, NUnit, Moq Testing, TFS, Git, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SDLC, and Agile; Private/Public Cloud platform (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry), and IAC tool such as Terraform; CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, bamboo); Monitoring tools (Splunk, and AppDynamics); Modern JavaScript structural Framework (React, Angular), HTML, CSS, NPM, Asp.Net Web Form, Razor, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap; and Database principles such as SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo DB, SQL, Store Procedures, and Database encryption.
