Within Stores Security, the Vulnerability Management and Remediation Operations (VMR Operations) organization is responsible for all aspects of the Vulnerability Management lifecycle across Amazon including intake, assessment, discovery, and response.

The VMR Operations organization is looking for a Technical Program Manager with deep expertise in program and project management to join us in building and maturing our VMR Operations programs. In this role, you will be responsible for driving goals and objectives to improve the day-to-day functions and strategic direction of VMR Operations. You will leverage relationships with engineers across VMR and Store Security, business teams, and leaders throughout Amazon prioritize deliverables, escalate roadblocks, and improve organizational processes. You will build trust with software developers and security engineers by leveraging your technical knowledge to understand challenges, design improved solutions, and ultimately deliver better outcomes for our customers. Finally, you will use your information security expertise to champion and drive risk-based decisions across complex, multi-disciplinary programs to ensure Amazon properly manages security risk.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

• Understanding of SDLC and Architecture System Design with the ability to ensure functionality and tradeoffs in terms of scalability, maintainability, extensibility, performance, and security

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and operating Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, or other security programs with hundreds of stakeholders and senior leadership visibility

• Experience using data visualization software (QuickSight, Tableau, etc.) and data analysis software (Athena, Redshift, etc.) to deeply understand business challenges and drive operational improvements

• Experience utilizing a variety of project management tools, methodologies, and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle with proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, and metric development/tracking

• Demonstrated communication and data presentation skills that allow you to clearly, compellingly, and effectively influence audiences internally and externally, across organizational boundaries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
