Nesco Resource CNC Machinist in Avon Lake, Ohio
Job title: CNC Lathe Set-up Location: Avon Shift: 1st - 6am-230pm Wage: $20 to $38 an hour based on experience As the CNC Setup Person you would be responsible for the setup of CNC machining centers efficiently and effectively for multiple machining and cutting operation on various materials. Duties/Responsibilities
- Efficient and timely setup of all CNC Haas Lathes in the facility.
- Ensures proper tooling is loaded into tool holders.
- Load programs, make adjustments as needed to produce quality part (i.e. speeds, feeds, depth of cut, chamfers, etc.).
- Set fixtures, tooling and vises required to produce parts.
- Review work orders and prints.
- Ensure raw materials are available and correct for the part to be produced.
- Run first production piece prior to handing off to an operator.
- Ensure all setup parameters are documented and repeatable prior to hand off to operator
- Develops common tooling for all CNC milling equipment.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3 years' experience setting up CNC machines
- Understands basic shop math, able to read prints, and edit programs using G&M codes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Will be subject to a 10-panel drug screen and other pre-employment screening.
