Amentum Passenger Servies Specialist/Expeditor in Baghdad, Iraq

The Passenger Services Specialist/Expeditor will be based at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center in Baghdad, Iraq, and serve the Baghdad Life Support Services (BLISS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will perform management functions, including coordinating, directing, controlling, and scheduling passenger services, human and equipment assets to ensure timely and efficient air terminal operations. Passenger service duties will include counter services, passenger processing, personnel and baggage screening, and baggage claim services. This position will report to the Passenger Services Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below represent the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate legal documentation.

  • Load and unload passengers, cargo, and baggage moved on military and commercial contracted aircraft

  • Provide information on schedules, routes, air movement requirements, baggage limitations, and local facilities that have been met.

  • Review passenger travel authorizations for validity and accuracy.

  • Provide handling services for special category passengers.

  • Establish procedures for passenger and aircraft clearance through international border clearance agencies.

  • Prepare, complete, and maintain air movement records, documents, and reports.

  • Maintain travel forms.

  • Check-in passengers, process, schedule, transport, and escort passengers to and from aircraft.

  • Manifest passengers for military aircraft using GATES.

  • Process and handle/palletize passenger baggage for military and commercial flights.

  • Assist passengers through customs inspections.

  • Handle all aircraft billing for TWCF manifests.

  • Update records for the passenger service section.

  • Manage the safe transportation of all personnel arriving and departing the BDSC ramp.

  • Perform duties in other Aerial Port sections as required.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:

  • Three (3) years experience in the passenger services industry or related field.

  • Three (3) years of experience in General Air Cargo and Ramp Operations.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.

  • Ability to work effectively with a multinational workforce.

  • Experience in building 463L pallets.

  • Experience in operating a 10K AT Forklift.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting passenger services responsibilities at an overseas facility.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.

  • Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.

  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED.

  • Passport, Licenses, and Certifications: As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts , candidates must possess a valid passport of their home country with a minimum of 18 months remaining to the expiration date with eight blank pages.

  • Valid driver’s license from Home of Record.

  • Security Vetting: Already possess a US Government issued security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification or US Government clearance before being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the contract duration.

  • Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere to and comply with safety, health, and security measures. Requires experience communicating with air traffic towers.

  • Citizenship: Must be eligible for US Government Clearance.

  • Medical: Complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for the duration of the deployment.

DESIRED:

  • Experience with GATES and GDSS2.

  • Aerial Port experience with Hazardous Cargo, Load Planning, or ATOC.

  • Previous out-of-home country experience is highly desirable, and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.

  • Experience working with Amentum.
