Description We are in search of a Member Services Representative to join our team in the financial services industry, based in Bakersfield, California. This role centers around handling customer inquiries, processing credit applications, and maintaining accurate credit records. This is a contract-to-hire employment opportunity, providing a key service in our company's operations.

Responsibilities:

• Answer calls promptly and professionally, maintaining excellent phone etiquette

• Assess caller needs and provide necessary assistance or transfer to the appropriate party

• Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor at all times, even when handling difficult or upset callers

• Provide accurate and thorough information to callers, utilizing available resources to research and resolve moderately complex issues

• Keep supervisors informed of complex or significant issues that may impact other areas

• Support and assist co-workers and contracted providers as needed, acting as a key member of the team

• Process and monitor customer credit applications and accounts, taking action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Use skills in Claims Processing and Medical Claims to effectively carry out duties

• Maintain strong customer service and good communication skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry

• Proficient in Claims Processing and Medical Claims

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with members

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Proficiency in using standard office software and applications

• Knowledge of member service principles and practices

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in professional knowledge and skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
