Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Major functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditionsEducation/Experience/Licenses etc.:• High school diploma or GED and 0-3 years of work experience.• Must have strong mechanical abilities• Minimum 1 year experience in reading/understanding blueprints, electronic schematics, wire lists and work instructions• Work history with mechanical assemblies• Minimum 1 year experience with hand tools and measuring equipment• Willing to travel• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.• Must be able to work in confined spaces for long periods• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 poundsMUST be able to work overtime as needed.MUST be able to work 1 weekend rotation per month: Mon-Sat or Tues-Sun.
