Overview

The Assistant Director, Clinical Operations (Site Clinical Director) is responsible for providing oversight and clinical services at the assigned Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSI™, formerly known as the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, or CARD)location. This position provides input andsupports theDirector of Clinical Operationsin the strategic execution of a number of leadership activities. Under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Operations, this staff memberdevelops policies and procedures; and provides leadership, support, and guidance to clinical and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee daily administrative operationsand delivery of patient care.

  2. Assist theDirector of Clinical Operationsin leadership activities including hiring, developing policies and procedures, monitoring grants, etc.

  3. Provide clinical evaluations and treatment; child/parent training; and complete the required documentation according to the Institute’s standard.

  4. Overseethe Care Center operations.

  5. Respond to concerns raised by patients, caregivers, and providers accessing CASSI services.

  6. Assist the Director of Clinical Operations with oversight of clinical research projects.

  7. Responsible for coordinating regulatory activities including Joint Commission and Performance Evaluation/Performance Improvement reports.

  8. Promote and participate in interdisciplinary training as an individual and/or as a department within and outside the Institute.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess and maintain Maryland licensures as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Clinical Social Worker.

EDUCATION:

A Master’s degree in Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, or a health related field is required. A doctorate is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of two years of post-master’s clinical experience in providing direct clinical services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families, preferably those with developmental disabilities or chronic health conditions or disorders of the brain.

  • Must have two years of supervisory experience.
