We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our multi-faceted non-profit organization. The Controller will be responsible for the month-end close process, financial reporting, and grant reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial activities. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of financial experience, hold a CPA license, and have a background in public accounting early in their career. This role requires a strong leader who can manage complex financial processes and provide insightful analysis to support the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and the board of directors.

  • Oversee grant reporting, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements and regulations.

  • Manage the financial operations across multiple divisions and revenue streams.

  • Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and organizational growth.

  • Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.

    Requirements

  • 10+ years of financial experience, with a strong background in accounting.

  • Active CPA license is preferred as is your MBA.

  • Experience in public accounting early in your career is highly preferred.

  • Prior experience in a non-profit organization with multiple revenue streams is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across divisions and with various stakeholders.
