Description

We're in search of a Case Management Assistant to provide vital support in tasks such as acquiring medical records, organizing health-related data, assessing medical documents, managing health insurance matters, and monitoring the progress of cases. The Case Management Assistant will also be pivotal in streamlining the medical records process, including digitizing and uploading documents into our specialized case management system.

Position Responsibilities:

• Compiling all medical records from providers

• Reviewing and evaluating medical records

• Review communications and records in detail to identify key data elements

• Drafting form letters and communications

• Working in conjunction with the Medical Records (Case) Manager to insure completeness and accuracy of all medical records and bills

• Accurate filing of all documentation to the appropriate client file and scanning and uploading of all medical documents into the appropriate systems

• Maintaining general order and confidentiality of files

• Ensures that all private health information is maintained and stored with client confidentiality in mind

• Interacting with accounting and billing departments to gather information

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and be a team player

• High level of accuracy and commitment to following process

• Ability to professionally interact with co-workers and outside parties at all levels

• Excellent computer skills, both oral and written

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow

• Ability to maintain records and files

Software Skills:

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Experience with case management system

• Use of office equipment: copy, fax and scanning machines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree or higher is preferable.

• One or more years of experience working with personal injury cases, medical records and/or related field.
