Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Baltimore, Maryland

Description:

  • Small company in Baltimore that builds pallets. Work independently. Pays very well. Overtime available. Small maintenance team with about 5-6 mechanics.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair all plant pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric systems

  • Perform electrical repairs, including on PLCs

  • Perform mechanical repairs, including conveyors, motors.

  • Use hand tools, such as pneumatic or electric reciprocating saws and nail guns

  • Perform minor unscheduled maintenance and repair on trucking equipment such as forklifts and yard shuttle trucks

  • Document repairs in computer system

  • Make basic welding repairs

Skills:

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair

  • PLC maintenance

  • Preventative maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanically inclined – Knowledge of and demonstrable ability to use common mechanics tools

  • Willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays with on-call availability

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
