We are currently seeking a Scientist with the National Institutes of Health in Baltimore, MD.

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

TASKS. The contractor shall:

• Conduct basic molecular biology and biochemistry experiments.

• Prepare and analyze DNA, RNA, and chromatin from cell subsets.

• Perform basic cell culture.

• Design and execute CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing in cell lines and mice.

• Update and maintain laboratory notebooks and databases.

• Attend laboratory meetings and present results and findings.

• Coordinate maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.

REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:

• Ph.D. in a scientific field, preferably Biology.

• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

• Proven experience in conducting molecular biology and biochemistry experiments.

• Hands-on experience with cell culture techniques.

• Expertise in CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing.

• Strong ability to maintain detailed laboratory records and databases.

• Effective communication skills for presenting research findings.
