Philips Bio-Medical Engineer in Bangalore, India

Job title: Bio-Medical Engineer

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Bio-Medical engineer in the team is the core to understanding and interpreting the data from the multiple device (Infusion pumps, Ventilators etc) which Philips will need to integrate to get the data into Philips systems.

You are responsible for

  • Analyze medical device communication protocols

  • Define and maintain biomedical specifications of device drivers

  • Consolidate information directly with device manufacturers when needed

  • Support the team activity by providing biomedical expertise on medical devices

  • Write technical and regulatory documents in compliance with quality management system

  • Read & understand the data from the medical device equipment

  • Work with s/w developer to correctly interpret & map the data

  • Ensure correct data from devices is available on Philips systems

  • Knowledge of software development concepts

  • Knowledge in HL7

You are a part of

Clinical Integration and Insights (part of the Enterprise Informatics team)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bio-Medical Engineering Degree from a reputed University

  • Minimum 6-8 years of related Work Experience

  • Understanding and expertise working with device data and integration in the hospital environment

  • HL7 understanding – Preferable

  • Good communication skills and good team player
