Roles and Responsibilities
Partner and collaborate with India ER team members. Supporting each other, collaborating, partnering, and sharing information to enhance team effectiveness. Build strong relationships, partner, and collaborate with internal-stakeholders including the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and Compliance, Legal, Employment Law to ensure the right outcomes are achieved Experience of managing the people implications of ER Matters across employment law revisions, ER policy development, ER training development / upskilling and end to end change management. Responsible for investigations and management of matters that are raised to the Bank/Company, more specifically around conflict, bullying, discrimination, unfair treatment, workplace harassment, sexual harassment, performance management and any other work-related grievances
Broad experience of Change Management programs and processes including but not limited to best practice in relation to redundancy programmers, organization design, insourcing and outsourcing.
Deep level of experience in change program management, understanding potential risks/issues and the legal requirements.
Possess an understanding of issues affecting Employee Relations internally, e.g. legal restrictions, Local laws, risk and control requirements etc.
Investigate any high risk, high priority or sensitive issues related to the above themes that pose reputational and legal risk
Ensuring investigations adhere to timelines and are conducted sensitively, confidentially, fairly and keeping in mind duty of care and employee experience at all times
Ensuring investigations are well researched, in consideration of the full and crucial factors: applying extensive employee relations/employment law experience and knowledge to manage cases quickly, effectively and professionally, ensuring that the risk to the organisation is mitigated and that decisions reached are fair, consistent and in line with legal obligations and regulatory expectations
Review and advise on complex performance management situations and fairness of decision making and local processes for reorganization and restructuring exercises.
Representation of the team on India, global or cross local. APAC and/or Global functional or cross functional projects and tasks
Identify hot spots through case trends. Identify and develop proactive interventions through training, workshops etc. with an aim to focus on proactive management of issues
Recommend enhancements to constantly improve processes and practices within the ER function
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources or Employment Legal.
Experience in establishing cross-functional relationships at all levels and geographies.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in consulting directly with employees and management.
Experience with stakeholder management in a global organization.
Ability to operate with empathy, and diffuse/de-escalate challenging conversations/situations.
Ability to work through ambiguity and complexity, and apply an intersectional lens to your work.
Ability to be flexible to collaborate across teams, regions, and time zone
