Diageo Manager - Group Reporting in Bangalore, India

Job Description :

Manager- Group Reporting (Grade- 5B)

Financial Accounting, book closing and Reporting for India HUB.

  • Work very closely with Group reporting team, check on group reporting instructions and execute global reporting.

  • Execute month/quarter closing schedule, work on check list for closing activities and ensure adherence by shared service team and internal finance teams.

  • Work on monthly group financial submission via BFC (Business Object Financial Consolidation) tool and ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Keep a comprehensive records of management recharges and ensure proper accounting in global books.

  • Prepare reconciliation between Local statutory books and Group books and ensure that Global books are compliant with group accounting manual and reporting instructions.

Group audit deliverables

  • Plan and drive Group audit as per group reporting team timelines.

  • Co-ordinate with auditor across various legal entities.

  • Ensure the semiannual/ annual reporting deliverables (Filing Assurance Committee (FAC) requirements, Country by Country Reporting (CBCR) requirements are completed along with review by management within timelines.

  • Facilitate audit readiness and responses to audit observations.

  • Validate Group press release numbers relevant to India market

Internal control, risk and assurance

  • Work closely with Internal auditor, Governance team and Group team. Work constructively towards addressing issues and gaps identified by Internal auditor/Governance team.

  • Strengthen internal controls and improve processes.

  • Document all processes for reporting like design documents etc.

Processes automation and central support

  • Support annual report preparation of the company including FD&A, MD&A section.

  • Execute automation in reporting vertical- Consolidation tool, SAP HANA implementation.

  • Support Global team, local FP&A and IR teams with required data for management commentary.

Profile of candidate

  • Chartered accountant (CA) with 2-4 Years of work experience

Must have

  • Prior statutory reporting controlling and reporting experience

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Experience of dealing with Statutory, Internal and group auditors

Good to have.

  • SAP and accounting software implementation experience

  • Exposure of working with and influencing multiple stakeholders

  • Clear communication and attitude to support business and solve complex accounting issues.
