Diageo SAP Operations Senior Specialist in Bangalore, India

Job Description :

Location: Mexico City, Bangalore, Budapest.

Grade: L5B

The Global SAP operations team is responsible for ensuring that systems are available for the business to operate in the key regions of Europe, Africa, Americas and Asia Pacific.

Our responsibility is to provide world class services/Systems, that allow Diageo to sell products/ Ship products and ensure future growth, This role is within the SAP team that provides business critical systems to allow Diageo to carry out day to day business operations

This role reports into the SAP Operations Lead who is accountable for service delivery of all critical SAP and associate system within Diageo.

Purpose of Role

Provide 2nd level support for global SAP environment including processes and assets. Ensure IS Partners are executing the assigned SOPs correctly and are working effectively with all other partners.

To cover the NAM time zone to allow Global support

SAP Analyst for Global Operations

  • Day to day management of BAU SAP operations, ensure system are available 24/7 and in line with SLA/OLA , work in world class team delivering world class support, to allow Diageo business to sell products globally

  • 2nd Level Support for Service Delivery and Service Support escalations

  • Partner with Service Providers to integrate SAP improvements into Diageo’s ongoing Operations

  • Act as Service Introductory Managers and Service Introductory Leads on SAP projects

  • Conduct in-depth operations reviews for all SAP global production capabilities

  • Execute all Service Delivery and Service Support processes for all SAP production capabilities

  • Review third party vendors and contracts to ensure appropriate operation principles are in place

  • Participate in internal and external audit on SAP operations

  • Execute and ensure partners are executing information security standards and standard operating procedures

  • Execute approved SAP investigations and forensics

  • Follow sun support for Global sap systems

  • Reporting on SAP systems, Availability, Trending, performance, Capacity.

  • Audit controls and Risk management on SAP systems

  • Service improvement plans for SAP using reports i.e. Early Watch , Data Volume Management

  • Ticket management , Service now, report and ensure Vendors/Partners are meeting SLA/OLA

  • Outage Management , Lead , and support system outages

  • Monitor and respond to SAP events.

  • Implementation and administration of SAP solutions.

  • Participate in SAP compliance efforts.

  • Helping ensure technical solutions leverage industry best practices.

  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging SAP products and technologies.

  • Develop SAP standards, policies, and processes. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging SAP products and technology.

  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.

  • Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigations plans.

  • Health network performance knowledge

  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple, high priority, high visibility projects concurrently

Qualifications and Desirable Experience Required

  • 5-8+ years SAP support experience

  • SAP certification desirable

  • Go live experience.

  • SAP upgrades and installations

  • AIX, Windows, Linux, Azure and SAP RISE

  • MS SQL and HANA

  • Knowledge IT methodologies ITIL

  • Basis supporting NetWeaver, ECC, S4HANA, CRM, APO ,PO, BW, GRC Solution Manager, BW BTP, MDG, BPA

  • Managing complex governance and external audit requirements.

  • Leading technical calls

  • Problem management skills

  • Significant analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling candidate to prepare and present recommendations to IS management

  • Strong IT Operations experience

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with Information Technology personnel and vendors

  • Ability to influence information technology Service Providers to execute

  • needed SOPs to deliver quality services.

Good to have:

Core BASIS experience, working in large global enterprise landscapes – The candidate should have independently architected solutions in a S4 transformation program across all BASIS areas comprising of landscape design, installation, upgradation, sizing, capacity and performance , backup, disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, OS/DB/Kernel patching, SPs/FPs and defining standards across multiple SAP products /solutions. Should have extensive experience on NW Admin, Cloud solutions, BTP, connectivity, principal propagation, load balancing, web dispatcher administration, SSO on ABAP stack and BTP.

Strong knowledge on HANA database administration, performance tuning and resolution.

Excellent knowledge of managing SAP on Azure, Networking, firewalls, reverse proxies, administration of Netweaver JAVA stack (cert admin, etc ) for PO and Enterprise Portal.

Excellent problem solving skills in a highly integrated environment comprising SAP and non SAP products/solutions.

Must have worked independently with implementation partners and drive decision making, evaluating solutions proposals, POCs etc considering long term sustainable solutions which are cost effective as well.

Mentor and hand hold team members as needed during and after the implementation cycle.

Good to have:

Strong knowledge in SAP Security covering role design, user administration, GRC implementation, workflow setup and support.
