What will you do:

As part of a diverse Cisco IOS XR team, you will play an integral part in software development process. A successful candidate for this role can be flexible, quickly learning new skills and taking responsibility for tasks and features. You will be solving new problems and tackling new challenges every day, with a focus on quality and attention to detail, supported by a team of fellow engineers to deliver new functionality and improvements to our customers. You will be developing a new feature or a fully automated test, investigating a problem, or using our test tools to ensure that our software is always high quality. Technology that you work in could be in Programmability, Routing Infra, etc.

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for multiple experienced Software Engineers who can strive in a dynamic start up like environment, work with an expert and diverse team, participate in architecture design, software, and tools development across geographies.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in data structures and multithread programming, OS fundamentals (Linux)

• Programming experience in C/Go/C++/python

• Experience collaborating with team members and stakeholders to solve complex issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complete software development cycle including automation* Experience debugging system level issues like memory corruption, memory leak, performance optimization

• Experience in API design, gRPC based services, network programming (TCP/IP)

• Experience building distributed systems and databases

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering with 4+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience

• Experience working with open-source software and tools (redis, rabbitmq etc)
