KEY DELIVERABLES

IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT OF USL COMPLIANCE PROGRAM AND BUSINESS PARTNERING WITH KEY FUNCTIONS

Expectation

  • Anchor the compliance program (policies, guidelines, standards, protocols, infrastructure, tools, etc.) and provide support to business in implementing the same.

  • Be the face of compliance, by ensuring that queries, clarifications and ethical dilemmas of the business are duly addressed.

  • Promote initiatives for driving and embedding the compliance program, including roll out of the new policies, providing inputs for enabling compliance by addressing the challenges faced by the business, etc.

EXECUTION OF USL BREACH MANAGEMENT STANDARDS IN THE REGION

Expectation

  • Assist with investigating cases – draft an investigation plan, implement and execute the plan including interviewing concerned people, reviewing process documents, policies and controls, where applicable, and finalise the investigation report.

  • Where cases are being investigated by other investigators, execution of the investigation plan by monitoring timelines, providing support to the investigation team and ensure adherence to the investigation protocol, as per the USL Breach Management Standards.

  • Collaborating with the global and Indian BI team in effective data management, record keeping and preparation of reports, investigation notes, etc.

DESIGN AND DELIVERY OF THE TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION PROGRAMS FOR EMBEDDING COMPLIANCE

Expectation

  • Formulating the training program for the organisation.

  • Co-ordinating with all the policy owners on running training sessions on their policies.

  • Running any policy understanding tests and formulating questions for the same, along with the policy owners.

WORKING ON ESG REPORTING

Expectation

  • Formulating responses to all the queries in the governance section of all ESG reports.

  • Collaborating with the controls and other teams to complete reporting and testing of information needed in the ESG reports.

BUSINESS PARTNERING WITH THE INTERNAL AUDIT TEAM AND OTHER FUNCTIONS

Expectation

  • Working closely with the internal audit team and understanding the scope of their audits and observations raised.

  • Reviewing the remediation steps undertaken by the business and analysing if is addresses the observations raised.

Skills required:

  • Good networking skills, both with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to prevail upon.

  • A self-starter and self-driven in understanding the needs of the business and the expectations of the compliance role.

  • Ability to gather insights and translating them into education material.

  • Eye for detail and good analytical mind for interpreting facts and circumstances.

  • Sensitivity towards confidentiality, right to privacy and discreteness in communication.

  • Intuitive skills with understanding of the human psyche in conducting investigations.

  • High calibre inter-personal and intra-personal skills.

QUALIFICATION

Minimum 5-10 years of working experience in a reputed multi-national company or reputed consulting firm is preferred. Should be willing to travel, as per the requirements of the Company. Degree in law or experience in audit and investigations is preferred.
