Philips SW Verification Lead in Bangalore, India

The Philips BR eakthrough I nnovation TE ams (BRITE) are the embodiment of Philips' new approach to driving breakthrough innovation. The BRITE approach accelerates innovation by being the organizational sandbox to nurture nascent projects from the early innovation stage to the full ability to scale.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and conduct cost-effective, agile methods of testing new or adjusted software components and systems with an end-to-end, outside-in view representing the customers’ perspective.

You are responsible for

  • Testing functional and non-functional requirements both manual and/or automated.

  • Apply professional testing concepts with broader autonomy. Typically, focus on testing one part of a system (e.g. within a scrum team).

  • Provide advanced expertise in software testing.

  • Occasionally mentor junior staff.

  • Typically, focus on testing the integration of several parts of a system

  • Plan the test execution during the verification cycle.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.

  • Degree preferred, BE/ BTECH(Electronics,Computers)

  • Analyze requirements, Design Test Scenarios, Create Test cases and Manage Test Data.

  • Review test cases, Execute test cases, identify defects and triage defects

  • Establish traceability and test coverage

  • Design, develop and maintain test automation scripts using standard and custom tools

  • Responsible for functional and non-functional testing on desktop, mobile and cloud platforms

  • Experience of working in Quality Assurance

  • Experience of dealing with customers and stake holders

  • Automation– Core java, java Scripting, UI automation as applicable

  • Knowledge on integrating automated test cases to CICD

  • Basic knowledge on Healthcare Domain with standards likeHL7, DICOM and FHIR

  • Knowledge on Healthcare Integration engines (Ex: Rhapsody)

  • Experience in SQL database

  • Knowledge on agile testing

  • Performs software testing within the systems/agile/scrum team throughout the whole development cycle ensuring built-in quality

  • Consults within scrum or other teams on test planning and participates, for example, in scrum team testing, planning and demo activities along with the verification leads.

  • Conducts functional, integration, performance and load testing

  • Documents test plans, protocols, and reports

  • Triage problems and coordinate with multiple teams for issue resolution

  • Maintenance of requirements traceability

  • Work closely with the lead verification engineers to ensure the best quality software is shipped on time every time.
