Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Summary:

The primary role of this position is to develop and ensure the delivery of high quality treatment and to provide clinical direction and supervision to clinicians (e.g. LCSW's, LCPC's, etc.) and bachelor level Behavioral Health Coordinators to ensure that services are: patient centered, aligned with Northern Light Health clinical philosophies, evidence-based, and outcome-informed.

Responsibilities:

  • Exercises authority in the interest of the organization to cooperatively select, hire, develop, evaluate, counsel, discharge, assign, reward and discipline assigned employees.

  • Addresses employee issues, concerns and grievances, administers policies fairly, equitably and consistently.

  • Actively participates in designing, implementing and evaluating clinical programs across healthcare organizations and primary care practices as requested.

  • Provides case consultations, clinical reviews, makes recommendations for interventions with complicated and repeating clients.

  • Educates and monitors employee treatment plan competencies.

  • Ensures documentation includes clear, concise communication of updated diagnoses, progress toward recovery, and treatment recommendations to patient and patient’s primary care provider.

  • Develops and oversees implementation of department orientation for new clinician providers and ongoing clinical staff development initiatives.

  • Ensures program structure and practices are consistent with federal and state licensing regulations and, when necessary, integrated behavioral health-specific policies.

  • Consistently extends opportunities for clinicians to enhance professional, leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Establishes and maintains clinical staff competencies and treatment program fidelity to evidence based practice models.

  • Establishes and ensures program practices that facilitate consistent communication and collaboration with Acadia Hospital programs, community provider systems and contracted entity providers.

  • Ensures department-wide, consistent and appropriate use of approved, validated screening tools, including risk assessment, as required.

  • Ensures assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning on all patients served is completed according to regulations, Hospital/Healthcare policies and client/family perceptions of needs.

Other Information:

  • License/Certification: LCPC, LCPC-c, LCSW, LMSW/CC

  • Five years' experience in healthcare-based or hospital-based clinical treatment services and/or clinical supervision required
