We are searching for a meticulous and dedicated Collections Specialist for our client in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. This role primarily entails managing customer credit accounts, processing applications, maintaining records, resolving inquiries, and ensuring efficient collection of delinquent payments. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner.

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure data integrity.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate action for delinquent payments.

• Handle inbound and outbound collections calls effectively.

• Lead all billing and reporting activities within designated deadlines.

• Handle vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.

• Record all customer payments to the correct reports.

• Call on all past due amounts and document all results in the system.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for billing functions and collection processes.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Experience with billing functions, including generating, sending, and tracking invoices

• Understanding of collection processes and best practices to ensure timely payment

• Previous experience as a Collector or in a similar role within the financial industry

• Knowledge of credit systems and credit-related regulations

• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients

• Experience with billing collection, particularly within a credit union setting

• Proven ability in collecting payments, managing overdue accounts, and resolving billing issues
