Capital City Staffing, LLC Forklift Mechanic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team at a large, well-established distribution facility in Plaquemine, LA.
Description:As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of forklifts to ensure their safe and efficient operation in our distribution facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts.
- Conduct thorough inspections of forklifts to identify any potential problems or safety hazards.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on each forklift.
- Order replacement parts and maintain inventory of spare parts.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and complete repair tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance and repair work.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
Type:Full-time, permanent position
Pay Rate:Competitive salary based on experience
Schedule:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
