Teradyne Project Manager in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating and working with the US counterpart on introduction of new products into our contract manufacturer in Asia.

  • Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure overall readiness of NPI through HVM (high volume manufacturing) at contract manufacturer.

  • Integrate various operations, supply line management and support groups in the initiating, planning and execution (including mid-course corrections as necessary) of projects.

  • Technical competence willing to dive deep into complex issues within operations, engineering, suppliers and contract manufacturers.

  • Interact comfortably with senior management internally or at contract manufacturers and demonstrate ability to communicate and present to all levels of management.

  • Strong communication skills are a must, with ability to integrate information from multiple teams, escalating issues at the right time/ level and ability to bring the teams together to resolve issues in a productive manner.

  • Leading all communications, upward and downward through the organization; raising key issues and options for resolution with executive teams.

  • Track and drive proactive corrective action where required as well as creating new processes/procedures within operations.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Supply Chain Management, or other relevant majors.

  • Operations and/or project management background with experience in product development in the high technology industry.

  • Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations.

  • Mature, excellent organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between functions and separate organizations.

  • Background in Operations working closely with Asia contract manufacturers on production setup and operational issues.

  • Experience in NPI and supply chain is a must.
