Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Security Officer l is an active member in the Security Team as well as the First Responder Team. This individual provides a wide variety of safety and security activities and services. The Security Officer l maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
WORK SHIFT
Sat and Sun; 3:00pm - 11:00pm
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Post high school education with emphasis on security or law enforcement.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: One year in protective services or safety related field or currently enrolled in a safety or security related coursework. Experience with security functions in a healthcare setting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: within 6 months’ of start date: State of Wisconsin valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification, awarded by the American Heart Association. First Responder Certified. Non-violent Crisis Intervention trained.
