A major healthcare provider/coverage provider is hiring for Member Service Representatives during their Open Enrollment period. This will be a 5-month contract with potential for extension or longevity. Must meet compliance requirements including health mandate requirement for healthcare setting.

Member Services Specialist 1 works with Direct and Exchange member accounts. On the phone, chat and/or email; pertaining to eligibility, enrollment, premium billing and payment, and delinquency. All while providing excellent customer service. These positions will not be enrolling candidates or processing them, they would transfer them to the correct person if patients/customers want to enroll.

• Answer and transfer calls as necessary through our web-based phone system, around 20-50 calls during open enrollment season (Oct-Jan)

• Navigate between 5-10 different applications and systems

• Supports individual members while on the phone with their accounts, including member eligibility, enrollment, premium billing, and delinquency, for both Direct and Exchange members.

• Look up member’s accounts and answer questions about payment status, eligibility status, and premium amounts, as well as how to enroll, make changes or terminate coverage

• Take payments and set up automatic recurring payments, as well as advising members how to do the same for themselves online

• Walk the member through how to find things on our website

• Determine if the member is eligible for a reinstatement and initiate this process, as well as explaining our delinquency policies to the member

• Advise exchange members how to interact with the Federal Marketplace, including how to file escalations and appeals

• Trigger letters and ID cards

• Researches, investigates and resolves member issues.

• Maintains confidentiality of all information related to members and employees.

• Collaborates with Member Services Technical Specialist, caregivers, and partner MA Individual Service Teams to address concerns or complaints.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience working in a customer service call center environment or related.

  • Healthcare experience not required but is a plus!

  • General understanding of health insurance or healthcare is a plus.

  • Ability to navigate through multiple systems and screens, while typing & talking simultaneously

  • Ability to work remote with a fast internet and quiet workplace with no distractions.

  • Good communication & technical skills
