Here's What You'll Need

  • An Associate's Degree in Applied Science or the completion of accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology or a High School Diploma/Equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology is required. (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required.)

  • One (1) year of EP experience is highly preferred.

  • Two (2) years in invasive cardiology experience is required if high school diploma.

  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or

  • RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon required or

  • CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire and

  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

  • ACLS—Advanced Cardiac Life Support—within 90 days required.

  • Call is required.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Patient Care

  • Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies)

  • Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

  • Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

  • Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

  • Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction

  • Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards
