Job description

The Greater China tax team is part of Oracle’s operation and is closely integrated with tax organization in the US headquarter. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist the team in the areas of tax compliance management for China entities.

Specific responsibilities

The person in this role will be reporting to China Tax Compliance Head and will be responsible for tax related operations including, but not limited to:

  • Review and handle monthly/quarterly/annual tax filings for their responsible entities in China

  • Work with Finance and statutory auditors and review tax related disclosure during year-end statutory audits in China

  • Lead the tax registrations/renewal (when needed), tax filing related set-up and support annual inspections (where applicable) for their responsible entities

  • Identify the areas to be improved in the course of tax filing review and coordinate with relevant internal collaborators to improve tax compliance process or update tax mentorship, when needed.

  • Provide advice/support on tax issues arising from the business operation of their responsible entities to ensure tax compliance

  • Provide support on global tax compliance projects

  • Handle ad-hoc queries and notice requests from local tax bureaus which Compliance shall take lead to prepare the draft responses per internal notice category mentorship

  • Support various compliance reporting requirements from APAC region or US HQ

  • Maintain cordial and professional relationship with local tax bureaus

Confirmed experience and skills

  • 7-9 years tax experience in working as a full time tax professional for multinational companies or accounting professional firms. Experience in both multinational companies and Big Four is more preferable;

  • Profound tax and financial knowledge and experience;

  • Detailed knowledge of business controls in a tax environment;

  • Detailed knowledge of tax accounting in Group Accounts;

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;

  • Sound judgment and good interpersonal skills;

  • Strong communication skills and can demonstrate vital authority in different situations; and

  • Strong sense of responsibility, proactive and dedicated.

Proficiencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax;

  • Qualification of Certified Public Accountant or Certified Tax Agent;

  • Proficient in PRC tax regulations, tax practices and accounting principles; and

  • Proficient in English, written and oral.
