Global Financial Leader seeks a Data Center Logistics & Media Engineer for long term opening. The Logistics Engineer will receive, ship, inventory and assign asset tags to all IT equipment arriving at the Data Center and verify equipment with attached invoice, properly identify equipment and resolve discrepancies. In addition, the Engineers will update Logistics logs daily with equipment and tracking information, email clients on all IT equipment received for them and email copies of the logistics log to the inventory team at the end of each business day.

responsibilities:

Required Skills -

  • Experience in Logistics, Shipping/Receiving.

  • Understanding and experience with database tracking tools.

  • Experience and knowledge with MS-Office and barcode scan tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be detail oriented and be able to multitask in this fast paced environment.

Job Duties -

Basic responsibilities would include but not limited to:

  • Receive, inventory, and document incoming data center hardware.

  • Validate and ship assets to vendors or other locations

  • Process via multiple couriers outgoing and incoming assets and parts

  • Document incoming and outgoing assets and parts via multiple inventory control systems

  • Coordinate with end users on special requests

  • Maintain and comply with operational documentation on procedures and processes

  • Maintain and update daily shift turnover logs and checklists

  • Participate in routine inventory processes

  • Provide timely updates to client, Data Repositories & Work Flow systems as required

  • Manage Asset disposals / destruction events

  • Research upon request assets for multiple LOB's Skills & Qualifications
