Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5 years of experience in technical program management

  • Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English fluently

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience scaling a service or platform to multiple partner teams

  • Experience working on quality (not deadline focused) focused program

  • Experience with projects which involve a significant research and development component in addition to pure execution

  • Technical experience in Software Development, Ranking Algorithms, and/or Machine Learning Models

  • Knowledge of program management domain and technical software engineering topics

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Search Quality Technical Program Manager team plays a critical role by driving programs that bring industry leading quality and ranking to surface new types of modern content. In this role, you will drive programs that bring together User Experience, Core Ranking, and cutting edge Machine Learning technology to bring relevant and relatable content to search.

  • Collaborate with a federated team of Software Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to drive launches and changes that impact users across the web and mobile.

  • Learn Search ranking infrastructure to identify new applications of signals and models to deliver high quality results to users.

  • Be a multiplier for teams developing signals, training models, and scaling quality services and innovations to teams across Search.

  • Exercise technical acumen to mitigate risks/blockers, run effective meetings, and resolve conflicts between stakeholders to accelerate program timelines.

  • Identify key milestones, dependencies, and build multi-quarter roadmaps for initiatives which range from infrastructure improvements to the user facing features built with them, while building processes to efficiently track and communicate progress to stakeholders.
