KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs exercise programs for individual clients based on goals, interests, and capabilities
Answers questions from clients to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and clients; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA
Keeps accurate personal training session records
Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ years' experience personal training and/or teaching group exercise preferred
Certification as a personal trainer from an accredited program required
Skills
CPR, First Aid and AED certification and/or experience a plus
Ability to maintain positive, active and engaging presence in the facility
Self-motivating and innovative
