Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting and unique position that involves working with our internal business on both functional and technical aspects of software implementation, utilizing the latest Oracle technology. You will have the opportunity to design, implement and create solutions while seeing how real users are utilizing Oracle software to impact our product direction. You will be a member of a team that is responsible for designing and building custom application/tools for enhancing Oracle’s Cloud Business. You will collaborate with various global divisions to understand requirements and interact with software engineering and security engineering teams in order to design, develop, deploy and maintain custom applications that are robust, secure and scalable.

As an Application Developer, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

  • BS/MS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Solid analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail to help the team drive creative business solutions, and innovations that improve user experience, product design, performance, resiliency, scalability, and relevancy

  • Strong understanding of business, programming logic, standards, patterns, and algorithms

  • Ability to customize and extend Fusion Applications, Oracle jet and SQL would be a big plus

  • Experience in large-scale distributed cloud systems with understanding of the design principle of scalable cloud native Microservices

  • Preferred knowledge/experience: Java, UI stack, Elastic Search, Grafana, Docker, & Kubernetes.
