Over Six years of work experience in the IT Industry spread across Healthcare and Banking domains. Specialized in the implementation of Data Governance program, Data Quality, Data Analysis and Reference Data management using Collibra and Informatica. CDMP training in progress.

Data Governance Consultant

• Building a Business Glossary with the help of Product Owners. Built Business Glossary for 5 Financing Systems. Onboarding Product Owners on the Data Governance program.

• Analysing and Identifying Domains, Sub-domains, and Owners for the data elements.

• Data Classification based on Confidentiality/Sensitivity and Identifying Critical Data Elements.

• Reference Data Management for the Systems and enabling crosswalks when required.

• Designing Metamodel and Relations between information assets.

• Enabling ingestion of Data Catalog into the Metadata repository.

• Gap Analysis to understand and decide whether the system is a good fit.

• Documenting Business Requirements (BRD), Functional Requirements (FRD), and Test Cases for DG activities in Collibra.

• Develop a Communications Strategy for the Data Governance program to reach business users.

• Develop a roadmap for the implementation of DG activities in different departments. Guiding the development team by providing requirements and helping them with roadblocks.

• Documented Training Materials and User Guides for users of the DG program. Facilitating and promoting usage and adoption of DG tools through training programs.

• Enabling Work Group Sessions to build Glossary, Data Classification, update Policies, and design data rules to achieve Data Quality.

• Data Analysis to understand Data Lineage for the systems. Identifying Source Records for data elements.

  • Analysing Business Processes and identifying redundant processes.

  • Thorough analysis to provide ownership of the Data issues and get the issues resolved. Design the KPIs to use.

  • Tracking the program progress and providing status reports when requested. Designing dashboards.

Expertise required:

  • Requirements gathering from Data consumer on data requirements ( specific details - complete, timeliness and accuracy specifications)

  • Define data controls requirements

  • Document purpose of the data usage and data sharing agreements

  • Ability to understand meta data – lineage, definitions and trusted data sources

  • Ability to search and consolidate critical data elements information in meta data tools

  • Review meta data and highlighting gaps in meta data

  • Consolidating Data Concerns for each use case or project
