Amazon Escalations Manager II, Buyer Abuse in Bengaluru, India

SPS Buyer Abuse team is looking for an individual to front-end the Escalations team. The person should be an innovative, results driven professional with solid people skills and good problem solving capability. They will support, coordinate and facilitate the projects / programs aligned to the business goals, and will be responsible for driving global strategy and initiatives for Escalations.

This team handles executive escalations across Buyer abuse function and provide insights to improve process and policy. The key to success in this role is the ability to understand the Buyer Abuse vision and make independent decisions with sound judgment to manage their teams to attain that vision.

The selected individual will also develop the career and skills of their teams through continuous closure of performance feedback loops. Is expected to setup governance mechanisms on people processes. The manager would be responsible for engaging people, identifying training needs within his teams and accordingly upskill. Responsible for creation of a roadmap based on improvement areas and career aspirations and track adherence. Should work towards creating succession plan within the team. Should be able to hire the best and for Amazon as well and be able to act as a mentor.

The candidate also needs to communicate with multiple stakeholders within the organization - the peer group as well support functions to ensure smooth delivery of the processes being handled.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of team management experience

  • 8+ years of operational and/or retail management experience

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions

  • Experience as a manager of managers

  • Experience across the domain of risk management & compliance operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (esp. MS Excel, Word) at an advanced level

  • Experience in operational excellence using six sigma methodologies
