Job Description

Looking for PeopleSoft Application Specialists with experience and expertise in PSADMIN and/or PeopleSoft Functional

An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high-quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.

7+ years of experience in PeopleSoft implementations, Upgrades, Migrations, Run, and Maintenance with 3+ years of experience relevant to Cloud Implementations including 1-2 years of consulting experience preferred.

  • HCM : Time and Labor, Absence Mgmt. , NA/Global/US Payroll, ELM9.2, Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, MSS, ESS, Ben Admin and Portal

  • Campus Solution : Student Financials, Records and Enrolment, Financial Aid, Campus Community, Recruiting and Admissions, Academic Advisement, Campus Self Service and Contributor Relations.

You will be working along with the Leads/PMs, to understand customer goals/requirements, expectations, and challenges, analyze situations/data, for configuring or develop business & technical solutions on the Cloud. You will advise project managers & other partners from time to time on the implementation aspects of the project. You will be responsible for the overall delivery quality on the project by ensuring the team’s alignment to standard practices and procedures. Build an understanding of and demonstrate Oracle methodologies, tools, and leading practices.

BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities: PSADMIN

Lead projects for PeopleSoft Implementations/Migrations/Upgrade

Implement and operate a modern, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure

Installation, administration, security, and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting the PeopleSoft applications, including web servers, database servers, application servers, process scheduler, report servers, and file servers in Windows and Unix (oracle, Linux)

Evaluate, respond to, and resolve service issues with application middleware, database, etc. and recommends/apply solutions such as configuration changes to O/S, WebLogic, PeopleSoft, Tuxedo or additional hardware, memory, CPUs, etc.;

Add and update document standards for architecture and configuration as well as day-to-day operational procedures and protocols

Good knowledge of PeopleSoft system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning

Proactively researches available and future releases of People Tools and recommends improvements/use of appropriate solutions/tools/security to the application group

Willing to work in a 24/7 on-call capacity, working evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Periodic testing of fail-over of server, database, etc. and participation in Disaster Recovery testings and validations

Possess a strong customer focus and ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the IT/Customer groups

Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration

Contribute to incident root cause analysis, with enough knowledge to lead discussions and drive tangible improvements

Work with peers inside and outside the team to promote and expand automation of operational tasks

Develop enablement plans to transfer knowledge on best practices to install, configure and manage OCI services.

Deploy patches and upgrades, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as required.

Experience in hybrid cloud environments

Experience on PeopleSoft Admin tasks and Database Admin (DBCS) on OCI environments

Experience on PeopleTools upgrade PT 8.56 to PT 8.60, PeopleTools patching, Tech stack Patching on latest PeopleTools 8.60

Experience with CPU patching, PUM patching, Tax Updates

Experience Oracle database migrations, backups setup, and recovery

Experience in PeopleSoft Provisioning using PeopleSoft Cloud Manager

Experience in doing Database Upgrades, Cloning, and Refreshing on PeopleSoft environments.

Be the subject matter expert on infrastructure elements in the cloud. For example:

Compute(IAAS)

Storage

Networking (Firewalls, Load Balancing Solutions, etc.)

Database(DBaaS ,ExaCS, Autonomous Database)

Supporting Services such as Elastic Search, Kibana

Roles & Responsibilities: PeopleSoft Functional Consultant

The position focuses on PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM and Campus 9.2 Applications with PUM upgrade, Tools Upgrade, OCI Migration, DB upgrade , Application Upgrade, Mergers.

• Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft related issues to ensure the accuracy of business systems. Interact with business system users in this effort.

• Participate in development of system test plans and acceptance criteria.

• Provide PeopleSoft Application Managed services by acting as Technical Analyst in PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM and CS Modules troubleshoot issues and assist in stabilizing the applications during & post go-live phase.

• Clear, effective and pro-active communication with the PM, Team Members and Client Business Users.

• Work with the client business users to identify possible improvements in the Customized Objects / Process.

• We are looking for a great team player with Can-Do attitude.

Experience & Skills:

• 6 to 12 years of Technical or Techno-Functional hands-on experience as a consultant or analyst working with PeopleSoft FSCM , HCM and Campus 9.2

• Experience with designing and maintaining interfaces to external systems and vendors;

• Should have Hands-On experience in minimum of 5 modules.

• A strong understanding of standard development methodologies (Systems Development Life-cycle) in both maintenance and implementation organizations;

• Strong skills in gathering and documenting business requirements for systems enhancements, performing fit/gap analysis, and writing functional or technical specifications based on requirements;

• Proven skills in quality assurance, including creation of testing scripts and test execution;

• Hands-On experience in People Code, People Tools, Application Designer, Application Engine, AWE, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, BI Publisher

• Nice to have experience in PeopleSoft PUM upgrade and Tools upgrade

• Preference will be given to candidates with the above experience in a healthcare industry environment.

• The candidate should be open for relocation to either Bangalore OR Hyderabad and should be open for Onsite travel (U.S.A)

• This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers and business end-users.

• This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative and flexibility to meet deadlines and end user expectations.

• The selected candidate should have excellent communication skills including written and verbal

• Should be willing to work hands-on and IC (Independent Contributor) role.

• All candidates must be able and willing to work in shifts including night shifts on a rotational basis

• Ability to work with diverse team.
