Principal Engineer (IAM, ZScaler)

What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Engineer you will be responsible to supporting and driving the Identity Access Management program by leveraging key technologies, IAM best practices. You will also be responsible for the implementation, management, and administration of the ZScaler environment.

You will:

  • The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer is responsible for supporting the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, by leveraging key technologies, IAM best practices and working closely with internal and external teams.

  • The key goals are to implement and maintain a solution to protect information resources against unauthorized use, and identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses.

  • Coordinate and report on regular system maintenance and support which may periodically require evening, weekend, and on-call support.

  • Work with architecture and security teams to use solutions that take into account the enterprise architecture strategies, business practices and constraints.

  • Maintains system documentation and protocols to ensure that additions and modifications are thoroughly documented upon implementation.

  • Leverage experience and knowledge to proactively engage in root-cause analysis and preventative projects.

Essential Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with 8+ years of related professional experience, or equivalent experience, 5+ years of experience with administration and configuring SSO, MFA, Automation, Provisioning, de-Provisioning.

  • Experience with IAM in both Cloud- and Hybrid-model environments, experience using Service Now to manage incidents, problems, and requests.

  • Demonstrate extensive understanding of IAM concepts such as directory services, SSO, federation, MFA, provisioning, access re-certification, role-based access control (RBAC) and separation of duties (SOD)

  • Experience with the following technologies

  • Okta

  • Sailpoint

  • Zscaler

  • Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Azure B2C

  • Azure Lighthouse a plus

  • Strong organization and planning skills to oversee the successful implementation of program deliverables and improvements.

  • Willingness to work in flexible shifts to align with customer escalations / requirements / On-Call support.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow or another ITIL platform for incident and request management.

  • Ability to document processes and lifecycle management of knowledge base documentation.

  • Extensive experience in implementing the ZScaler platform.
