IT Principal Software Engineer

What you’ll achieve

As an IT Principal Software Engineer, you will deliver products and improvements for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, you will craft and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most sophisticated technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and partnerships.

You will:

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications written in GoLang.

• Develop scripts, CLI’s and API's written using REST principles and 12 factor methodologies, and enable CI/CD to automate deployments.

• Partner with product and development teams to enhance and develop new features and improve self service capability

• Providing operational support to triage issues with applications deployed on the Kubernetes platform ensuring security and stability.

• Knowledge of an additional programming language such as Java is desirable.

Essential Requirements

• Total 8+ years of working experience in Application Engineering

• Coding against APIs (REST) and manipulating structured data (JSON, XML, etc.), build and CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Github, concourse, etc.

• Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems3 Years of experience in GoLang

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker Containers, Compute, storage, network, tools & automation.Experience with Cloud configuration automation (Ansible, Terraform, , etc.)

• Strong soft skills required for effective communication with business decision makers, colleagues, and others

Desirable Requirements

• Strong scripting/programming skills other than Golang would be desirable: (Java, C#, Angular, bash, powershell, etc.)
