The Position:
As a Salesforce Development Supervisor you will be joining the team developing Salesforce Broker Service Experience Cloud capabilities for our Global Individual Health business line within International Health.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of CHSI Bangalore based Salesforce software engineers developing GIH Broker Portal. The Supervisor will act as technical lead for the team, providing his solution design expertise, ensuring sufficient code peer review and development coaching is in place for the team’s effectiveness and smooth day to day running. He/she will liaise closely with Scrum Master and Product Owner and testers to ensure the needs of the team are being met and managed effectively.
His/her responsibility will also include managing assigned work requests throughout the SDLC, building customized solutions using Salesforce declarative tools and custom code. The candidate will require an understanding of business processes related to the Experience and Service Cloud applications, strong technical understanding of Salesforce and LWC and communication skills to interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to develop and enhance the system accordingly.
The Supervisor will be a high-performing individual who is methodical, inquisitive and has a passion for high-quality deliverables.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Lead & Drive the Bangalore based GIH Broker Portal Salesforce development team
Have a detailed awareness of the demand on each of the individuals in the team
Ensuring new developers on the team are efficiently onboarded and looked after during joining process
Responsible for the career development and the performance of the Salesforce team members
Responsible for creating a good work environment & culture for the team
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve the quality & productivity of the team
Attend relevant agile process & ceremonies
Adhere to the organization's policies, best practices and help to drive changes to achieve more efficiency
Analysing requirements to ensure information is complete and determine complexity.
Applying your knowledge of “out of the box” functionality to determine what different design options exist and highlight any compromises.
Developing and documenting customised solutions within the Salesforce platform including creating and enhancing and creating functions and configurations and maintaining balance between point and click and coding solutions
Developing and documenting customised solutions leveraging Lightning Web Components v Vlocity components- such as Omniscripts, Data Raptors and Integration Procedures
Develop system integrations involving Salesforce.com web services (JSON, SOAP)
Ensuring developed solutions are written to be maintainable, scalable, testable and deployable.
Ensuring that solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices and leverage standard CRM functionality where possible.
Overseeing team Code Peer Review process and deployments
Ideally you will have experience with or have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
6+ years in Salesforce administration and development
4+ years as a Salesforce Developer with Apex, triggers, trigger frameworks, Visualforce, Lightning Aura/Lightning Web Components
2+ years as a Vlocity/Omnistudio developer with Omniscripts, Data Raptors and Integration Procedures
3+ yrs experience as Technical Lead and/or Supervisor
Experience Cloud , Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Sales Cloud
Broad knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
Proven experience of working within an Agile environment
Competent user of Microsoft office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Exceptional English verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Comfortable working independently, leading a team or as part of a team
Demonstrate accuracy and possess a keen eye for detail
Strong interest in personal development
Copado, VS Code, JIRA/ADO
Would be useful to have knowledge of other object oriented development language(s) such as Java
Agile development methodologies (such as SAFe)
Desirable Skills and Experience
One of: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder or Salesforce Platform Developer Certifications
Web based software development, especially using Java and HTML
Salesforce & Vlocity Technology experience JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, Copado
