The OCI team is building new technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. An engineer at any level can have a significant technical and business impact.The ideal candidate will have proven experience designing, building, and implementing distributed cloud-scale systems. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist who is comfortable diving deep into any part of the stack, including interaction with hardware. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will build entire services and act as a leader on your team. You will be writing exceptional code and tests, mentoring others on your team and establishing high-quality standards, driving design and architecture of your service, and play a key role in planning, execution, and operational readiness. As an engineering leader, we expect you to raise the bar for the entire engineering organization – whether through best engineering practices, operational excellence, development process, or shared code contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the engineering delivery of a service or product.

• Work closely with architects, and product and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.

• Drive engineering efforts and provide direction to other members of the team.

• Collaborate with other product teams.

• Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent the team’s ability to execute.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in the design and implementation of complex software systems

• Deep understanding of object-oriented design specifically within a cloud environment

• Strong Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL processes, Cloud Computing, Analytics concepts

• Proven experience with a Programming language PLSQL is a must.

• Sound fundamentals in coding, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

• Proven experience with a major Programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C# or C++ is a plus.

• Aptitude for problem solving.

• Experience with massively scalable systems is a plus.

• 2+ Year of experience with CD/CI/DevOps

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.

• Experience with enterprise-class RDBMS (Oracle, SQL*server), Cloud Data warehouse (Snowflake/Redshift).

• Experience building distributed cloud services.

• Experience in Cloud Analytics
