Job Description

As a SRE at Oracle Cerner, you are responsible for providing AS400 system administration, support, monitoring and maintenance of Cerner’s solutions and services. You will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability, ongoing performance tuning, OS upgrades, PTF applies, BRMS management, troubleshooting and system audit . You will be responsible for release upgrade, service packs, hot fix installations for AS400 hosted applications and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation. You will be also using CL scripting to develop innovative tools to solve operational issues. You will be responsible for Change and Incident management. You will also be responsible for client interactions and requirement gathering.

Responsibilities

As a SRE at Oracle Cerner you will have the responsibilities mentioned below:

• At least 3 years of experience with AS400 Server Administration, iTera HA management, troubleshooting and BRMS management.

• Exposure to OS upgrade and System maintenance.

• Basic CL programming, scripting and Splunk knowledge.

• Basic WebSphere administration on AS400.

• Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed.

• Willing to work on different technologies as needed.

• Willing to take up on-call support responsibility which includes timely engagement of On-calls for issue mitigation based on SLA’s set.
