Job Description

• Real time experience for broad software design, code quality and architecture decisions

• Contribute towards architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews for functional correctness, architectural maintainability, and performance

• Contribute towards the long-term technical roadmap for the solution area

• Investigate and drive analysis for new innovations and technologies

• Should have experience developing and maintaining high-scale front-end and/or back-end services in a standard SOA.

• Deep understanding of operational excellence and know-how to how to improve the SLI/SLO for a distributed ecosystem.

• Able to communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)

• Should have the ability and experience to work independently and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Around 4+ years of hands-on software development experience in developing Micro Services using Ruby and/or Ruby-on-Rails, building Frontend Applications using React JS, AWS, OCI cloud-native distributed systems.Primary technical skill should include deep dive knowledge and working experience Ruby and/or Ruby-on-Rails as a must and Java, and Scala as preferred ones. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python should be considered as “Nice to Have”.

• Experienced with API and service-to-service communication protocols along with developing highly reliable services.

• Real-time exposure and knowledge he/she is on system availability and scalability of distributed systems (primarily Cloud). Also, experience in practicing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, and deployments on multi-zone and multi-countries would be highly preferred.

• Troubleshoot issues observed through internal monitoring (Telemetry) or reported by customers and work on both corrective and preventive solutions.

• Highly proficient with 2+ years of experience in handling projects on Cloud Infrastructure (OCI preferred).

• Exposure to OCI-managed services/components like OAC or APEX would be an added advantage
