Job Description

We are looking for a software engineer to join OCI security & compliance platform team. The platform and algorithms monitor, detect threats, data breaches, and other malicious activities using machine learning and data science technologies. These services help organizations in maintaining their security and compliance posture.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to build an analytics solution and a data lake by sourcing and curating data from various internal + external providers. We demonstrate Spark, Kafka, Machine Learning, technologies running on OCI. You’ll work with product managers, designers, and engineers to build data driven features. You must enjoy the excitement of agile development and interacting with other outstanding engineers.

Responsibilities

As a software engineer, your role entails crafting, developing, solving, and debugging software programs across various domains such as databases, applications, tools, and networks. Within the software engineering division, you'll actively give to shaping and refining standard practices and procedures. Your responsibilities will involve crafting software solutions for tasks encompassing the development, design, and debugging of applications or operating systems.

Your work will be characterized by its non-routine nature and high complexity, requiring the application of advanced technical and business skills within your specialized area. As a proactive team member, you'll be instrumental in providing solutions and assisting others. A bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience relevant to your functional area, is required, along with a shown experience in software engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a highly available and scalable platform capable of aggregating and analyzing streams of events with a small window of adaptability.

  • Design, deploy, and handle large-scale data systems and services built on OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).

  • Develop, maintain, and fine-tune threat detection algorithms.

  • Build a test bed and tools to mitigate noise and improve the speed of threat detection.
