Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle Cerner platform team, will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an ambitious spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. Responsibilities

  • Accountable for broad software design, code quality and architecture decisions

  • Lead and direct architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews for functional correctness, architectural maintainability, and performance

  • Develop long-term technical roadmap for solution area.

  • Investigate and drive analysis for new innovations and technologies.

  • Perform software risk analysis, identify, and implement mitigation.

  • Partner with strategy and solution teams as solution guide to provide recommendations.

  • Reinforce and promote engineering culture and values across the organisation and Cerner.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 10 years total combined related work experience :

  • At least 3 years software engineering work experience

  • At least 7 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent meaningful work experience.

  • Authority in building highly scalable enterprise applications on Java, J2EE technologies.

  • Authority in building and consuming RESTful Services.

  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure development, GCP).

  • Hands-on experience crafting and developing.

  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment

  • Experience working closely with architects, principals, product, and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.

  • Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

  • Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers.

  • Experience and understanding of multi-AD/AZ and regional data centers.

  • Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules.

  • Expertise in applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques to develop security solutions.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement low ego changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
