We're looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building end to end API partner developer experience. In this role, you will be part of an engineering team building public API infrastructure and tooling to solve API externalization, onboarding, discoverability and API integration concerns. You will partner closely with Business Development, Product Managers, Product Engineers and external partners to find, define and build new API integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • You will build tools and platforms to fully integrate and on-board LinkedIn’s API products for its consumers

  • You will scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.

  • You will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.

  • You will produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

  • You will provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs

  • You will identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity

  • You will mentor junior engineers and interns in the team

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding

  • 2+ years of hands on web development experience with object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery, semantic HTML, CSS.

  • Experience with developing backend services in Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline.

  • Experience writing clean JavaScript including experience with modern frameworks (Angular/Ember/React) and debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc).

  • Prior experience building public API's with Java, working with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.

  • Prior experience with building external API management platforms

  • Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, security and usability.

  • Experienced in Unit / Integration / Visual Testing.

  • Experience with JSP and Dust programming is a plus.

  • Ability and eagerness to program progressive, single-page applications (Backbone / Angular/ Play framework).
