Wells Enterprises Team Lead, Walmart Branded Sales in Bentonville, Arkansas

Wells Enterprises has an exciting opportunity to lead our Walmart Branded sales desk. The Team Lead Branded Sales heads all sales for Wells branded products on the Walmart account, along with managing our Sam's Club Business. They will be responsible for achieving sales and trade spending objectives in support of strategic growth plans for Walmart. The Team Lead provides leadership, direction and coaching to team members to achieve sales results, effectively utilize sales process and tools, leverages cross functional team members, and further develops skillset and capabilities. Monitors key customer and competitive activities through data, analytics and insights, updating plans and teams based on latest intelligence to ensure Wells Brands achieve sales targets in support of long-term strategic objectives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for delivering sales and financial objectives. Delivers results through successful negotiation, long-term strategic planning, and relationship development with Walmart.

  • Owns trade plan and branded revenue management, leveraging available funding to drive greatest return and results for Wells and outpace the competition.

  • Owns relationship with Walmart Director of Ice Cream. Consistent discussion with Director on delivering Walmart's key scorecard objectives including but not limited to sales, profitability, inventory and availability, and omni goals.

  • Leads quarterly joint planning meetings including key cross functional teams such as replenishment/supply chain and annual innovation preview meetings with Director in advance of line review in addition to maintaining regular cadence of meetings with the Walmart Director to manage daily business.

  • Strong partnerships and strategic planning with cross-functional partners: Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Omnichannel, Revenue Management, Sales Operations, Demand/Production/Supply Planning, Category Management and Insights.

  • Develop and implement successful sales strategies for Walmart and Sam’s Club aligning with both customer and Wells objectives to achieve sales plan and market share objectives while also driving success on key customer priorities.

  • Leads one direct report: Sr. Analyst Branded Sales. Leverages cross-functional leadership and successfully influences without direct authority within a matrixed organization to drive required results for Wells and customer across shared resource teams.

  • Responsible for forecast accuracy, including weekly review with Demand Planning on forecast and trends. Identifies, develops, and implements opportunities within communicated constraints such as available trade funding to close gaps and drive incremental growth consistently throughout planning cycle.

  • Prepares and leads monthly business review and other internal meetings as requested, providing content and pre-reads in advance of meeting for internal review to drive more efficient conversation and decision-making.

  • Lead and coach indirect partners in Sales Operations and other cross-functional teams to deliver KPI's and monthly objectives.
