Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District Secondary Reading Specialist/Instructional Coach in Bergland, Michigan
The Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD is seeking applicants for a part-time (60% to 70%) Secondary Reading Specialist/Instructional Coach beginning with the 2024-25 school year.
SUMMARY:
The Secondary Reading Specialist/Instructional Coach partners with teachers to provide job-embedded professional learning opportunities. Through robust, positive professional relationships with teachers and administrators, the Reading Specialist/Instructional Coach supports staff in developing knowledge, skills, and capacity to create and enhance positive learning experiences for all students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Reading or Literacy
- Background as a Secondary Reading Specialist
- Demonstrated teacher leadership experience required
- Minimum of ten (10) years of teaching experience
- Experience designing and implementing professional development for small and large groups.
- Experience working with various forms of data to inform instructional practice and improvement.
- Experience working with diverse populations of students with varying degrees of ability.
- Must possess or have the ability to attain a valid Michigan Reading Specialist License

Compensation:
According to the Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD MEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
The candidate selected for this position must pass a criminal background check and drug test before being recommended to the Board of Education.
