The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Integration Architect to join the F-15 Mission Systems Integration Team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of new architecture solutions for emerging and existing F-15 International and USAF programs. This candidate will work with the F-15 Missions Systems teams, F-15 systems engineering team, F-15 program management, and others to develop an overall F-15 avionics integration solution for all F-15 platforms. Upon successful design of an architecture that meets all system requirements, the architect will lead the engineering team in its implementation and maintenance of that design through the development, lab test and flight test phases of the development cycle.

The Mission Systems Integration Team develops overall system designs and capabilities for USAF and international customers. The designs and requirements developed by this team enables the F-15 aircraft’s mission capability by interfacing with multiple avionics subsystems (radar, weapons, sensors, etc.) and by implementing algorithms and developing the crew vehicle interface displays. The team is responsible for the design, requirements, coordination, and the various levels of testing of the Operation Flight Program software as well as leading the development of the system and subsystem requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for the F-15 platforms

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for F-15 system level architecture, system-specific issues, and processes

  • Provides technical leadership for integration projects of new technology implementation and demos

  • Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of tools and processes for the integration team

  • Leads the team in growing into Open Mission Systems and Model Based Systems Engineering Development tools and processes

  • Supports the F-15 System Safety and Systems Engineering Integration Test team in Safety Critical Functions identification, tracing, and reviews

  • Develops Architecture Roadmaps

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for avionics systems

  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications

  • Develops Architecture Roadmaps

  • Coordination with program management, suppliers, and other Boeing teams

  • Provides Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) guidance and support to the integration team

  • Works under very minimal direction

  • Domestic travel will be minimum

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Integration Architects.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor of science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degree

  • 3+ years of experience in the mission systems field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with Open Mission Systems

  • Experience with Mission Systems architecture

  • Experience with fighter aircraft avionics, sensors, and/or weapons development

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering Development practices

Typical Education: Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4 (Lead)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5 (Senior)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Level 4 Lead): $119,850– $162,150

Summary pay range (Level 5 Senior): $142,650– $194,350
